Have you ever done a card deck workout? It can be an amusing change from your usual exercise routine. A big bonus— this type of workout can be done anywhere!
All you need is a deck of cards, a pen and paper.
How it works
Each suit will be an exercise.
Example
♥️ Bodyweight Squats
♠️ Jumping Jacks
♦️ Body-weight Side Lunges (each leg)
♣️ Modified Push-ups
Each card determines the exercise you will do and the number of reps.
6 of ♦️ = 6 Body-weight Side Lunges
Tips
If you need to shorten the workout, or your fitness level is “beginner”, take out the face cards.
Be creative and pick exercises you enjoy.
Want an added challenge? Pick an exercise for each Joker and call it 100 reps. Ex: Joker = 100 Sit-ups.
Add weighted exercises to increase the intensity.
The Workout
Shuffle the deck and place the deck face down. Flip the top card to reveal the number and suit, perform the corresponding exercise, then flip the next card.
The workout ends when you have completed the entire deck of cards.
